Cecas presents: Médéric Collignon / Jus de Bocse, a tribute concert to Miles Davis titled 'Between 1968 and 1975, the post-Bitches Brew era,' at the Espace des Arts.
Médéric Collignon is a consummate collaborator: one can scarcely count his participation in numerous projects, and his cordial rapport with all that the world of jazz and improvised music has to offer is filled with vibrant, effervescent undertakings.
A singer and vocalist as much as a trumpeter, he gathers around him four high-octane musicians, whose sound bears the distinctive imprint of the electric piano and a stern rhythm section.
Médéric Collignon: cornet, effects, voice, synth / Yvan Robilliard: Fender Rhodes / Christophe Monniot: sax, effects / Emmanuel Harang: bass / Franck Vaillant: drums.
In the opening act, the jazz department students of the Regional Conservatory of Aubervilliers–La Courneuve will present a program, weaving together composition and improvisation, developed during a three-day workshop led by Médéric Collignon.
