CQ Wrestling is a British grunge band fronted by Charlie Woods and Jake Mac, delivering a sound that is both intense and melodic. Their lyrics address social and political troubles while offering moments of euphoric escapism, and their chaotic, high-energy live shows have helped them build a loyal audience through three tours in the United Kingdom, their appearance at Glastonbury Festival in 2025, and appearances at major European festivals.
After the critical success of their debut album Plus Ultra (EMI, 2023), supported by BBC Radio 1, 6 Music and Radio X, the band is now entirely independent. Their latest single, Smoke Screen, reached the number two spot on Spotify's Rock List, which earned them placement in major playlists and sparked rapid growth in their audience, with growing interest in the American markets. Tours are planned throughout the year.

Positioning itself as a new voice on Leeds' underground scene, continually evolving, The 113 moves at its own pace. Abrasive and dystopian statements about surveillance, data collection and the quiet unease of modern digital life. The band describes its 'new sound: desperate and panicked'; it charges forward with irresistible urgency, driven by dissonant guitars and off-kilter, thunderous rhythms.
Sometimes almost uncomfortably prescient and oppressive to listen to, Leach sees the singer Jack Grant deliver both a rallying cry against the advances and negative impacts of the tech giants, and an honest confession of powerlessness and inevitability in the face of all of it: 'Me, you or half the planet, what’s the fucking difference? I’ll be stamped within the spreadsheet with little to no resistance'.
