On October 11, 2026, at the Opéra Berlioz in Montpellier, Angélique Kidjo takes to the stage to present a career that, for more than thirty years, has traversed West African music, soul, funk and pop, propelled by an instantly recognizable voice and a sharpened sense of rhythm. Born in Ouidah, Benin, and having spent time in Paris before rising to international prominence, she has built a multilingual repertoire in which Fon, Yoruba, French and English intersect, blending original compositions with reinterpretations that push the boundaries.
Around her album HOPE!!, she extends her penchant for collaboration and bridges between generations: tracks conceived with Nile Rodgers, Diane Warren, PJ Morton, The Cavemen, or the Soweto Gospel Choir, produced largely by Shizzi and recorded between Paris and Los Angeles. A concert that promises a natural flow between urban grooves, choirs, polyrhythms and pop melodies, without losing the through line: the energy of her singing and Kidjo's commanding presence.
