Anthony Kavanagh « Jet Lag »

Anthony Kavanagh is back with Jet Lag, a stand-up crafted to explore “décalage” in all its forms. With the perspective of a Québécois who has worked in France, he plays with accents, social codes and those little habits that differ from one country to another. He tackles themes that have followed him since the start: cultural differences, relationships, a hurried society and the search for meaning. On stage, he alternates stand-up, impressions and musical touches, while leaving room for improvisation and direct audience contact. His career as an actor, singer and voice actor feeds his performance and the characters he animates effortlessly, always in service of the story.

Jet Lag is the idea of a world where, depending on where you stand, you live a little ahead or a little behind. Kavanagh captures these everyday misalignments and turns them into concrete, familiar situations in which everyone recognizes themselves. Not a hammering sermon, but scenes that unfold, images that linger and a sense of rhythm that carries the evening.
