MEUTE

MEUTE will perform in Lyon on April 18, 2027 at L’Amphithéâtre 3000. Born in Hamburg in 2015 around trumpeter Thomas Burhorn, the brass band brings together eleven musicians and translates techno, house and deep house into an entirely acoustic format, driven by brass, bass drum and percussion. The collective first gained attention with its reinterpretation of Âme’s “Rej,” then built a repertoire in which tracks by Laurent Garnier, Disclosure, Dennis Ferrer and Deadmau5 take on a new form without abandoning the repetitive pulse characteristic of dance music.

Over the course of their tours, MEUTE incorporated their own compositions, first appearing on Puls in 2020 and followed by Taumel in 2022 and Empor in 2024. On stage, arrangements stack in layers: trumpet and saxophone lines settle over a continuous rhythmic motif, the bass is played on brass instruments, and the crescendo is built in unison. A live show conceived as much for venues as for the street, it emphasizes intimacy and collective energy.
