Fat Dog

On 30 October 2026 Fat Dog will perform at TivoliVredenburg in Utrecht. The London electro-punk band formed in 2020 around frontman Joe Love and grew into a five-piece from South London with a live reputation that preceded their first releases. Support tours with Sports Team, Yard Act and Viagra Boys followed, and in 2023 the group signed to Domino.

Their sound balances post-punk, dance-punk and direct electronic elements: tight synth lines, rave-tinged rhythms and unexpected eruptions in which the saxophone smuggles in a touch of klezmer. After King of the Slugs (2023) came the 2024 singles All the Same, Running and I Am the King, culminating in the album WOOF. released that same year. Live, Fat Dog mixes raw rock energy with repetitive, danceable patterns and a dry sense of the absurd. Appearances at End of the Road, Borderline in Dublin and SXSW have already sketched that profile; in Utrecht it will take the form of a compact set where tight hooks and pulsing grooves set the tone, leaving room for sharp turns and brief moments to catch your breath between the eruptions.
