Info
Lambrini Girls will descend on May 7, 2027 at the Melkweg in Amsterdam with their Brighton-based punk that leans on riot grrrl and queercore, but is foremost very much in the here and now. Around guitarist/vocalist Phoebe Lunny and bassist Lilly Macieira, the band builds short, direct songs: abrasive guitars, a bass that drives things forward, and chanting vocals in which the lyrics stay central. Expect songs that openly address themes such as queer identity, gender relations, and everyday social frictions, with that biting humor that sharpens the tension a touch. After a string of DIY releases, the EP Love Is a Weapon (2023, Big Scary Monsters) set the direction: urgent, rhythmic, and built to ride the tempo on stage. Live, Lambrini Girls feel like a collective with an open dynamic, fed by extensive touring through the British and European independent circuits. In Amsterdam, that promises a set that is compact, fierce, and very physical.
