On 17 May 2026 at Rough Trade East in London, Ruel plays a stripped-back set followed by a Q&A and signing to mark the release of his new album, Kicking My Feet and Screaming, out on Giant Music. London-born and Sydney-raised, the British-Australian singer and songwriter has shaped a contemporary pop sound with shades of soul and R&B. Spotted young by producer M-Phazes, he moved from early singles to the EPs Ready (2018), Free Time (2019) and Bright Lights, Red Eyes (2020), before his debut album 4th Wall (2023). His songwriting leans on direct melodies and introspective lyrics, carried by a flexible, expressive voice.

This pared-down format brings the songs back to their core and gives space to unveil material from Kicking My Feet and Screaming alongside cuts from his earlier records.
