Originating from the Toulouse rock scene, SLIFT lands in Dublin for a concert on December 8, 2026 at The Academy. The trio, led by brothers Jean and Rémi Fossat, with drummer Canek Flores, has forged a dense, physical psychedelic sound—somewhere between space rock, taut garage, looping kraut, and heavy stoner.
Since Space Is The Key and La Planète Inexplorée, the group has stretched its tracks, letting sci-fi narratives and long build-ups breathe, taking their time. UMMON marked a milestone with heavier pieces, pounding riffs and repetitive rhythms, almost hypnotic, carried by an incantatory vocal. With ILION, released in 2024 on Sub Pop, SLIFT pushes this writing further: broader, more melodic, without relinquishing saturation or the urge to play out over time. On stage, this translates into seamless, immersive sets, conceived as a journey rather than a sequence of tracks.
