Info

Little Barrie land in Bristol for a live set and signing at Rough Trade Bristol on 21 May 2026, celebrating the release of their new album Gravity Freeze on Easy Eye Sound. Led by guitarist and singer Barrie Cadogan, the band folds garage rock, psychedelia, rhythm and blues, funk and soul into tight, head-nod grooves, a clipped guitar tone and vocals that leave space for the riffs to breathe. Across We Are Little Barrie, Stand Your Ground, King of the Waves and Shadow, their sound moved from raw and direct to a looser, blues-streaked writing style without losing its pulse.

After the passing of drummer Virgil Howe in 2017, Cadogan and bassist Lewis Wharton reignited the project with Malcolm Catto for Quatermass Seven and Electric War, before returning to the original banner with Gravity Freeze, recorded in North London and steeped in a dialogue between British rock and rougher American influences. On stage, Little Barrie keep it lean and rhythmic, rolling out new tracks alongside earlier cuts, then sticking around to sign records and say hello.
