Info
As the lead singer and songwriter of The Stranglers, Hugh Cornwell mixed fact, history, mythology and ideology in his lyrics. This approach contributed to the band's success and reputation for both experimentation and accessibility.
He wrote many of the band's key songs across ten albums. He wrote the lyrics to "Golden Brown".
His solo career includes ten albums, including "Moments of Madness".
His last solo acoustic performances in the UK were in 2017. He returns in November 2026. He plays Epic Studios, Norwich, on 4 November 2026 at 7:00 pm.
Alongside songs from The Stranglers and his own catalogue, he will perform new material from his next studio album, "Succubus", the follow-up to "Moments of Madness". These songs will be heard for the first time on this tour.
There will also be a short open mic Q and A for audience questions.
"I'm not sure how much longer I can continue to perform, and so this will be my final solo acoustic tour."
Just Hugh, a guitar and a microphone.
