Info
Thompson Twins’ Tom Bailey takes the stage at Birmingham Town Hall, Birmingham, on 18 September 2026. The singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist behind the UK new wave trio steps out with a show where synth lines, drum machines and pop melody lead the way, reconnecting with the electronic DNA that shaped his path while keeping it lean and direct. Voice and keyboards at the core, he navigates sleek arrangements and tight grooves built for a live room.
Also featuring Blancmange. Formed in 1979 in Harrow by Neil Arthur and Stephen Luscombe, the project grew out of the early British synth-pop and new wave scene, mixing taut keyboards, dancefloor-friendly rhythms and melodies touched by Eastern colours. After albums through the mid-80s and a pause in 1986, Blancmange returned in the late 2000s; today Arthur carries the name solo due to Luscombe’s health, exploring a more stripped, introspective electronic pop across recent releases. Their minimalist punch and melodic twists bring a complementary edge to the night.
