Paledusk

Paledusk lands at Manchester Academy, Manchester on 8 May 2026. Formed in Fukuoka, the band pushes metalcore into hybrid territory, folding in nu metal weight and electronic textures. Their tracks swing between jagged riffs and sudden rhythmic cuts, then open into melodic passages before snapping back into harder sections. Screamed parts collide with clean hooks, in Japanese and English, while bursts of trap and bass-driven sounds slice through the mix. Since the EP Happy Talk, they’ve leaned into this fragmented, collage-like writing, where each shift feels engineered for impact without losing a sense of groove. On stage, that balance between precision and chaos is the point: sharp, elastic structures built for whiplash turns and crowd energy.

In support: Knosis, Deafheaven and Headwreck round out the bill. Different angles, same appetite for intensity, setting up a night that moves across heavy textures and dynamic contrasts before Paledusk takes it over.
