On 23 January 2027, SiM hits Manchester Academy, Manchester. Born in Shonan in 2004, the Japanese quartet — MAH on vocals, SHOW-HATE on guitar, SIN on bass and GODRi on drums — blends metalcore, nu metal and alternative rock with flashes of ska-punk, reggae-dub and hip-hop. Their sound locks heavy, syncopated riffs to direct, melodic hooks, a balance they’ve honed from their debut Silence iz Mine through Seeds of Hope and Pandora to The Beautiful People. In recent years, they pushed further with the hard-edged Thank God, There Are Hundreds of Ways to Kill Enemies, the Beware EP and Playdead, sharpening arrangements without losing that elastic groove. Beyond Japan’s rock circuits, SiM found a wider audience with The Rumbling and Under the Tree, two tracks tied to the anime Attack on Titan that reveal their knack for tense atmospheres and big choruses. On stage, the band channels that range into tight, high-impact cuts and sing-along moments, drawing across a catalog built for movement and contrast.
