Keziah Jones

On April 1, 2027, Keziah Jones will perform at Le Tube - Les Bourdaines in Seignosse. A singer‑guitarist at the crossroads of Lagos and London, he advances with his blufunk, that taut blend of funk, rock energy and pop melodies. His percussive guitar leads the way, the groove snaps, and his voice moves from breathy tones to falsetto, producing music that hits with its rhythm as much as it grips with its harmonies.

Born in Nigeria and raised in England, he first came to prominence busking in the streets before moving on to larger stages. His career is marked by records that have become touchstones, from Blufunk Is a Fact to Nigerian Wood, with African Space Craft, Liquid Sunshine and Black Orpheus along the way. On stage he draws from that repertoire and twists it in his own way—between crisp riffs, syncopations and darker ballads—with touches of Afrobeat surfacing without ever abandoning the pop sensibility.
