Info
In May 2026, the music series Tune (Haus der Kunst) and the festival Ritournelle (Blitz Music Club, Münchner Kammerspiele, among others) join forces for the first time. Presented within the contemporary art festival Various Others, Tune x Ritournelle unfolds across three consecutive evenings with a program at the intersection of art and club culture.
The official closing party of Various Others takes place on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at Blitz Music Club in the Deutsches Museum. Titled Ritournelle x Tune, the evening brings together artists in contemporary electronic music. Nkisi, co-founder of NON Worldwide, interweaves polyrhythmic structures, kraut-influenced synth textures, and radical techno approaches into a multifaceted sound. Often working within dance and performance contexts, including collaborations with choreographer Tiran Willemse, she inaugurated the Tune series in Munich in 2021. The voice of dub poet Tikiman (aka Paul St. Hilaire), known from Basic Channel releases of the 1990s, meets DJ Richard Akingbehin for a set between reggae, dub, and techno. Blawan has been active for over a decade. Since his 2021 release on XL Recordings, Woke Up Right Handed, he has developed his sound by blending distorted drum architectures, synth work, and his own vocal into forms that cross styles. He performs live and as a DJ, including collaborations with Skrillex. Producer MJK returns to Munich. Following his Plus-Floor set at the 2023 edition of Ritournelle, he now makes his Main Floor debut alongside Pariah for a back-to-back DJ set covering dubstep, grime, and breakbeat-influenced techno. Opening the night are Carl Gari with Jonas Yamer and Till Funke, joined by the voice of Palestinian artist Lynne Azzam.
On the Secret Floor, Munich-based visual artist Anna Lekavski, known as Sarmabot, presents a set, and Authentically Plastic performs.
