Söhne Mannheims Piano

Söhne Mannheims bring their piano-driven set to Worpswede: on 5 December 2026 at Music Hall Worpswede. The collective, founded in Mannheim in 1995, blends pop, soul, R&B, hip-hop and gospel with German lyrics and multi-voice arrangements. In the pared-down piano instrumentation, voices, harmonies and lyrics are brought to the fore; rap passages and ballads take on new contours, while the grooves remain present but are more subtly articulated.

The band has always operated in changing line-ups. After Xavier Naidoo’s departure in 2017, the project continued with a new formation, shaped by voices such as Dominic Sanz, Michael Klimas, Karim Amun, Giuseppe Porrello and the rapper Metaphysics. This phase led to the 2023 studio album Kompass; on stage the new material meets songs from earlier chapters like Zion, Noiz and ElyZion — newly arranged for the piano setting.

The set focuses on concentration: collective vocals, clearly structured harmonies and lyrics in the spotlight, situated between soul-pop, rap and contemporary urban rhythms. An opportunity to experience the Söhne sound close to the song, adapted to the intimate setting of Music Hall Worpswede.
