Burning Spear has, for more than six decades, followed a roots-reggae path nourished by African heritage, self-determination and political consciousness. Performing under the stage name Winston Rodney, a two-time Grammy Award winner, he delivers songs that are at once militant and spiritual, driven by a deep voice, slow grooves, Nyabinghi percussion and understated brass. His repertoire spans eras and remains centered on Black history and the Jamaican experience.
Steel Pulse celebrates over fifty years of a career devoted to socially engaged reggae. Formed in Birmingham in 1975 and a Grammy Award–winning band, they blend roots with punk accents and rock influences to convey lyrics about social justice and collective emancipation. Tracks such as “Rally Round the Flag” and “Handsworth Revolution” helped shape their trajectory and still find a place in their live shows. They will perform at L’Élysée Montmartre in Paris on 30 June 2026.
