Two Danish guitar voices share the bill at Den Fynske Landsby in Odense on 12 September 2026: Magtens Korridorer and Katinka Band.
Magtens Korridorer emerged from Copenhagen in the mid-90s, with Johan Olsen’s distinct voice leading tight, Danish-language rock that balances alternative grit, punk pulse and direct pop melody. Their lyrics tap into daily life, relationships and urban tensions, carried by straightforward riffs and choruses made to be picked up by the crowd. From the early spark around their 1998 debut to Friværdi and Transmission in the 2000s, then Imperiet falder, Før alting bliver nat, Større end os and Club Promise, the band has steered toward a darker, more reflective tone without losing its concise, electric drive.
Built around singer-lyricist Katinka Bjerregaard and musician-producer Simon Ask, Katinka Band charts an indie-leaning path. Writing in Danish, the group pairs sharp guitars and spare arrangements with melancholic melodies and a front-and-center vocal delivery. Vi er ikke kønne nok til at danse (2017) set the tone, Vokseværk (2018) widened the palette with folk shadings and subtle electronics, and Ekstremsport (2021) pushed a more rhythmic, direct feel. On stage, their focus stays on words, pulse and an unvarnished sound.
