Info
When Jonah Blacksmith rolls out the Film Concert, it is not just an ordinary concert, but a meeting between documentary cinema and a live band, where the songs’ background is told in pictures and on-screen scenes. The seven-piece ensemble from Thy, with brothers Simon and Thomas Alstrup at the forefront, has revisited the film, added new sequences and written new music, so the format continually evolves.
At SJF Bank Arena in Odense on January 22, 2027, the audience will be drawn into the band’s universe of origins, dreams, and what binds people together. The music leans toward their folk-rock with pop-inflected harmonies and a direct interplay between acoustic and electric instruments, where choral voices and a sense of community are part of the very expression. Film and concert exchange places, so one can feel both the story behind the songs and the energy in the room as the band performs them in full.
