Orville Peck

Orville Peck will perform on 24 June 2026 at TivoliVredenburg, Utrecht. The masked country crooner, wearing a fringe mask, creates a cinematic Western universe in which classic Nashville and Americana meet the darker edges of goth and shoegaze. His deep baritone and spacious, reverberant guitars carry songs that oscillate between slow ballads and midtempo road songs, with twang and pedal steel as constant anchors.

The set leans on Pony (2019) and Show Pony (2020), where the duet with Shania Twain opened the door to a contemporary country vernacular. With Bronco (2022) he broadened the palette: fuller, more rhythmic, yet faithful to that melancholic, rumbling timbre. Newer passages from Stampede: Vol. 1 (2024) link heritage and reinterpretation through covers and collaborations, including a track with Willie Nelson. On stage Peck foregrounds his queer cowboy imaginary: stories of longing, wanderings and outsiders, delivered with a restrained dramaturgy and a sound that keeps tradition and modernity clearly in balance.
