On October 28, 2026, The HU will bring their amps to the Radiant-Bellevue in Caluire-et-Cuire. Formed in Ulaanbaatar in 2016, the band developed a “hunnu rock” that combines throat-singing (diphonic singing), group chants and traditional Mongolian instruments with heavy riffs and rhythms reminiscent of alternative metal. First noticed in 2018 with the videos for “Yuve Yuve Yu” and “Wolf Totem,” The HU have since toured extensively across Asia, Europe and North America, and defined their signature sound with The Gereg (2019). Rumble of Thunder (2022) accentuates the heavier side and cements the project within contemporary metal and hard rock circles. On stage, this blend of guttural vocals and melodic motifs inspired by the steppe unfolds over a massive electric foundation. Collaborations with Serj Tankian and Jacoby Shaddix further extend this dialogue between Mongolian heritage and amplified music. Opening act: SKALD.
