Info

On July 17, 2026, Ottawa Bluesfest sets up at LeBreton Flats in Ottawa with a bill crossing country, folk-soul and dance-punk.

Sheryl Crow brings decades of songwriting that threads rock, pop and Americana, from early staples around Tuesday Night Music Club to recent cuts from Evolution. Her set leans on guitar-led arrangements, tight harmonies and songs that balance intimate sketches with social themes.

Raised in Alabama and now based in Nashville, Ella Langley pushes a country framework with a rock edge. Her EP Excuse the Mess and tracks like Wrong Guy and If You Have To draw on punchy riffs and plainspoken storytelling about relationships, rural life and late nights.

Valerie June moves between folk, soul and blues with a distinctive voice and a meditative sense of groove. Across three solo albums and collaborations with Mavis Staples and The Blind Boys of Alabama, she crafts songs rooted in gospel inflections and clear, unhurried melodies.

Toronto duo Death From Above 1979 keeps it to bass and drums for impact. From You’re a Woman, I’m a Machine to Is 4 Lovers, they hit on churning rhythms, distorted low end and terse hooks that blur noise rock and dance-punk.
