Info
On April 1, 2027, at History Ottawa, Angine de Poitrine bring their instrumental collision of experimental rock, math rock and angular post-punk to the stage. The Quebec duo, Klek and Khn de Poitrine, write like they’re building a machine: short motifs stack up, then get stripped back, with a repetitive, almost techno-like sense of construction that keeps everything moving.
No vocals, no filler. Just matte, precise drums locking into microtonal guitar and bass lines, chromatic phrases that rub against each other, and asymmetric structures that never sit still. Their music plays with tension and release through variation and rhythmic displacement, staying tight and jolting while still leaving room for the body to follow. After Vol. 1 and a fast run through Quebec’s live circuit, this Ottawa date is a chance to catch a duo that treats repetition as a living thing.
