La Sécurité

On 29 May 2026 La Sécurité plays Urban Spree in Berlin. The Montréal/Tiohtià:ke collective delivers art-punk built on bouncy beats, off-kilter arrangements and sparse hooks — music that goes straight for the dancefloor. The lyrics carry a Riot Grrrl attitude: self-empowerment, friendships in all their nuances and a focus on care. Live, their blend of punk, new wave and krautrock crystallizes into an edgy, physical energy that’s more propulsive than polished.

Since 2022 La Sécurité have played SXSW, The Great Escape, End of the Road and Reeperbahn, and toured with The Go! Team (2024) and The Rapture (2025). After their Polaris-listed debut Stay Safe! and its remix companion came the singles “Detour” and “Ketchup,” which continue their penchant for rhythmic hooks and taut melodies. The band is currently working with Bella Union; their second album, Bingo!, is due 12 June 2026. Expect a set that combines new tracks and earlier favorites — raw, danceable and without fuss.
