Steve Hackett

Steve Hackett returns to Brussels for a stop at the Cirque Royal Brussels on 14 May 2026. The progressive rock guitarist and former member of Genesis has developed a playing style in which electric lyricism, acoustic fingerpicking and orchestral textures converse. From Voyage of the Acolyte to the Genesis Revisited cycles, his trajectory blends original compositions with reinterpretations of a repertoire he knows from the inside, with particular attention to rhythm and arrangements. On stage, Hackett alternates instrumental pieces and songs, weaving a thread between his solo career and the pages of Genesis he helped create. Six‑ and twelve‑string guitars, classical colours and keyboards envelop melodic themes that take their time, then glide into sharper passages. Surrounded by a band seasoned in odd time signatures and shifts of mood, he constructs a set tailored to the venue—precise in its dynamics and attentive to transitions.
