Tamikrest « Assikel tour »

Tamikrest, formed in 2006 in Tinzawaten by Ousmane Ag Mossa, Cheikh Ag Tiglia and Aghaly Ag Mohamedine, proudly carries Saharan rock. Heirs to the momentum of Tinariwen, they combine acoustic and electric guitars, repetitive lines, desert grooves and singing in Tamasheq. Their lyrics speak of roads, identity and the resistance of the Kel Tamasheq people, with a sound shaped on stages around the world, from Africa to Europe and across the Americas and Asia.

With the Assikel Tour, Tamikrest returns to the essentials: riffs that move to the pace of the sand, rhythms that invite both walking and dancing, and melodies that settle in effortlessly. The band forges a natural bridge between Tuareg blues and rock, without unnecessary showmanship, relying on collective listening.
