Taylor Acorn

For Taylor Acorn, the urge to perform is no whim — it’s an ingrained reflex. As a teenager in northern Pennsylvania she formed her first pop-punk band before trying her hand as a solo artist. The turning point came in 2014, when she moved to Nashville and crossed paths with producer Dan Swank (All Time Low, Cassadee Pope). From their sessions emerged a songwriting approach that draws on the energy of 2000s pop-punk and applies it to straightforward melodies crafted for live performance.

In 2024, Survival In Motion introduced her to a wider audience; a year later, Poster Child confirmed that direction and accompanied her signing with Fearless Records, after nine years of independence. Acorn aims to awaken a familiar feeling, a return to touchstones. You can hear it from “People Pleaser,” the opening track, to “Masquerade,” the more stripped-back closer. Her voice moves between power and restraint, according to what each song requires, without overstating it.
