Info
Saxon lands in Copenhagen on March 5, 2027, as they take the AB&B – Amager Bio stage with their classic British heavy metal, shaped by Biff Byford's distinctive vocal and the band's straightforward, hard-hitting riffs. Here the focus is on the big songs from the breakthrough years around Wheels of Steel, Strong Arm of the Law and Denim and Leather, where the tempo is tight, the choruses are nailed, and the lyrics draw on working life, motorcycles, history and war. At the same time, Saxon is not a nostalgia act: they have kept the pace going for decades with a steady stream of releases, most recently Carpe Diem and Hell, Fire and Damnation. The concert will therefore be a meeting between the band's early, raw energy and the polish and heft that come from having played metal stages and festivals across Europe again and again. For the audience, it means an evening of melodic metal that pushes right to the edge, no frills.
