Info
On 11 June 2027, Jools Holland brings his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra to Warwick Arts Centre in Coventry for a night built around the piano, brass, and that tight, swinging drive he’s been known for since the late ’70s. First spotted as the founding pianist of Squeeze, Holland has since carved out a live sound that sits between rhythm and blues, boogie-woogie, swing, and rock’n’roll, with arrangements that nod to big-band tradition without turning into a museum piece.
With the Rhythm & Blues Orchestra, he leans into fast, percussive phrasing and call-and-response energy, giving the horns a central role and keeping the set moving like a dancefloor conversation. Expect a show that draws on decades of touring and studio work under his own name, shaped by a musician who’s spent years connecting different corners of UK music culture on stage as much as on screen.
