Info
On July 3, 2027, Jools Holland brings his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra to the Wycombe Swan Theatre in High Wycombe for a night built around the piano, the groove, and that big, brassy band energy he’s been shaping since the late ’70s. Known first as the founding pianist of Squeeze, Holland has carved out his own lane where rhythm and blues meets boogie-woogie, swing, and rock’n’roll, with fast, nimble phrasing and arrangements that give the horns a real starring role.
Onstage with his large ensemble, he turns classic roots into something physical and immediate: tight riffs, rolling left-hand patterns, sharp breaks, and that sense of a band moving as one. It’s the kind of show that nods to the dancefloor without playing the nostalgia card, drawing on decades of touring and records like Sex & Jazz & Rock & Roll and Small World Big Band.
