On April 11, 2027, Madra Salach bring their Dublin-born take on new folk to the stage at the Telegraph Building in Belfast. Built as a live band first, they carry the rush of pub shows into a wider, tighter format: narrative ballads, trad-leaning tunes, and that collective momentum you only get from a group that plays together a lot.
Formed in 2023 and now a six-piece, Madra Salach sit right between Irish folk, traditional Irish music, and Celtic folk, but with songwriting that feels current. Fiddle-and-reel energy meets band dynamics, with room for big choruses and quieter story-led moments. If you’ve caught their singles “Blue & Gold” or “I Was Just A Boy”, or the 2026 EP It’s a Hell of an Age, this Belfast date is a chance to hear that material stretched out live, with an eye toward their announced 2027 album, Gorta.
