Info
Beth Orton comes to the Frannz Club in Berlin on February 21, 2027, and brings exactly that special tension on stage for which she has been known since the 1990s: intimate folk songs that are bathed in electronic textures without fully dissolving into them. Her music lives on acoustic guitars, restrained arrangements, and a voice that tends to hint rather than reveal — complemented by downtempo rhythms and subtle production that recall the era when folktronica and British trip-hop suddenly opened up to female songwriters. In the set you can expect passages from several phases: from the defining aesthetics around Trailer Park and Central Reservation to later, often leaner songwriting moments and the more synthetically colored tones of her newer work. A concert for all who enjoy moving between folk, indie and electronics — direct, but with enough air between the lines.
