Dressed Like Boys is the project of Belgian vocalist and composer Jelle Denturck, who on April 11, 2027 will perform in Warsaw at Klub MECHANIK. The artist from Ghent builds intimate, honest pop on polished arrangements and emotions kept just under the skin. In tracks such as "Lies" or "Stonewall Riots Forever," he blends a queer perspective with themes of loneliness, the need for freedom, and the search to find oneself, while leaving plenty of room for universal tensions that everyone knows in their own way.
The debut album, released in August 2025, quickly opened doors to major stages: the MIA awards, a European tour, and festival sets at Rock Werchter and Best Kept Secret. Now Denturck enters a new phase — the spring 2027 release, titled "And Then I Woke Up," is set to revolve around the motif of spiritual awakening, with clear inspirations from Buddhism and Taoism. This concert is an opportunity to hear this turn live, alongside material that has already resonated strongly.
