Info
Please Please You & Brudenell presents Seamus Fogarty at The Crescent in York.
This is a seated show with all seating unreserved.
London-based alt-folk artist Seamus Fogarty released new album Ships earlier this year via Scottish label Lost Map Records and Swedish label Sing A Song Fighter. Since then, he has enjoyed widespread coverage across BBC 6 Music and recorded a live session for Gideon Coe and Marc Riley, while BBC Radio 3’s Elizabeth Alker lauded the album’s mix of electronica, German avant-garde and Irish folk inspiration.
Augmenting his performances with a range of analog synths and drum machines and a cast of supporting musicians, including multi-instrumentalist Emma Smith (Pulp, Beth Gibbons) and drummer Aram Zarikian (Grass Cut, Peaky Blinders), his live shows have seen him traveling around the UK both in a headline capacity and as an opening act on sold out shows and tours for fellow artists Lisa O’Neill, Katherine Priddy and This Is The Kit. He also played to large audiences on the Garden Stage at End Of The Road Festival, Green Man Festival and All Together Now and is soon to go on tour with The Delines, before embarking on a 13-date headline tour of Ireland in November.
January to March 2027 will see a 24-date UK tour that arrives and culminates in London with a headline show at The Lexington on 6 March, celebrating the 1-year anniversary of the Ships release.
