Info
On January 27, 2027, Beoga bring their “Beoga & Friends” show to City Halls & Old Fruitmarket in Glasgow, as part of Celtic Connections. Formed in 2002, the band have built a sound that keeps one foot in Irish tradition and the other in sharp, modern ensemble writing: jigs, reels and airs driven by accordion, bodhrán, piano and strings, locked together with the kind of precision that makes every tune feel alive on stage.
This “& Friends” night is the perfect format for Beoga’s open, collaborative spirit. Over the years they’ve widened their palette from early acoustic records to later releases where folk rubs up against contemporary arrangements, without losing their grounding in the repertoire. Expect a set that moves fast, breathes, and leaves space for surprises, with that restless energy that made their music travel far beyond the trad circuit.
