Info
Mouth of the Tyne Festival welcomes Olly Murs for a summer live set on July 8, 2027 at Tynemouth Priory and Castle in Tynemouth. Since breaking through on The X Factor in 2009, Murs has built a pop catalogue that leans into light soul, a touch of ska and reggae bounce, and those clean, radio-built hooks made for singing back in a crowd.
Expect a show driven by the big choruses and danceable groove that shaped his run through the early 2010s and beyond, mixing upbeat anthems with warmer mid-tempo moments. His style stays direct and crowd-friendly, with a flexible vocal approach that moves easily from punchy pop to blue-eyed soul flavours.
Over the years he’s teamed up with artists like Rizzle Kicks, Flo Rida, Travie McCoy and Demi Lovato, and kept his writing focused on stage-ready songs across albums from his 2010 debut through Marry Me. In a festival setting like this, that mix usually translates into a tight, hit-packed performance built for open-air energy.
