Info
Seasick Steve hits Rock City in Nottingham on March 19, 2027 for a night built around raw, no-frills blues. Under the name Seasick Steve, Steven Gene Wold has carved out a sound that sits between country blues, boogie and blues rock, driven by gritty guitar lines, slide work, harmonica, and stripped-back percussion that leaves plenty of room for groove.
Long before the mid-2000s breakout that followed early releases like Cheap and Dog House Music, he’d already lived several musical lives, moving between the US and Europe and working as both musician and engineer. That hands-on background feeds into the way his songs land live: direct, grounded, and made for the stage. Expect a set that pulls from a long run of records, from I Started Out with Nothin and I Still Got Most of It Left through later chapters like Sonic Soul Surfer and A Trip A Stumble A Fall Down On Your Knees.
