Info
Aabenraa Live Jazzer presents I Think You're Awesome at Nygadehuset on October 30, 2026.
In nearly 15 years as a band, I Think You're Awesome has been a creative and trailblazing Danish jazz ensemble. Their non-dogmatic and curious approach to music has led them to collaborations as diverse as Ole “Fessor” Lindgren, the Aarhus Jazz Orchestra, the Taïga string quartet, singer‑songwriter Thomas Madsen, Jakob Buchanan, Christian Vuust, and Chappe.
Bandleader Jens Mikkel Madsen has won several awards for the band’s music; they have toured across much of Europe, earned airplay on P8 Jazz, and continually evolved in all kinds of creative music. Concerts with I Think You're Awesome are warm-hearted, humorous, and joyful experiences that dare to address and tackle life’s challenges. It is music that carries a contemplative tone, yet also conveys an optimistic message delivered by six people who have gone through their twenties and much of their thirties together, and through the band they express their friendship.
