Info
On April 30, 2027 at 229 London, The Primitives and Close Lobsters share a double bill built for anyone who grew up on jangly guitars and punchy choruses.
Led by Tracy Tracy, The Primitives mark 40 years of “Stop Killing Me”, the kind of short, bright indie-pop rush that put them on the map. Coming out of the UK mid-80s underground, their songs blend Byrds-like sparkle with Ramones-style snap and girl-group hooks, the spirit that also runs through classics from Lovely, along with later chapters after their return to the stage.
Close Lobsters, formed in Scotland in the C86 wake, celebrate 40 years of their debut album Foxheads Stalk This Land. From early cuts like “Firestation Towers” to the sharper edges of Headache Rhetoric and their later comeback releases, they’ve kept that tense, melodic jangle that hits fast and lingers. Two bands, same DNA, one night.
