Info
Among the most talked‑about bands on the new British music scene, with high‑energy concerts and a mix of britpop, rock and punk.
Among the intriguing and debated realities of the new British scene, The Molotovs represent a meeting point between rock, punk and britpop. Fortified by an ever‑growing word of mouth and more than 600 gigs under their belt, the band has quickly established itself as one of the United Kingdom's rising acts.
Direct, incisive songs, an authentic attitude and a high‑impact stage presence are the elements that characterize the project. In their live performances, intense and driving, references to the British tradition coexist, giving shape to a personal, energetic and immediate sound.
The Molotovs return to the Capitol live to present Wasted On Youth, their debut album. The record reached number three on the UK Albums Chart. At the heart of the project are brothers Matt (guitarist and singer) and Issey Cartlidge (bassist), joined by Noah Riley on drums, a power trio that reinterprets the britpop heritage through a rougher and more contemporary language, fueled by high‑intensity rock and punk inflections.
