The DJ and producer ØTTA, based in Paris after beginning her career in Portugal, develops an electronic aesthetic that links industrial techno, hardcore, trance, and rhythms drawn from dance music and other currents of Brazilian club culture. Her sets and productions move at fast tempos, with acidic lines, dry percussion, and melodic crescendos that draw on both hard dance and a more hybrid rave culture.
ØTTA emerged in the late 2010s and early 2020s on the Paris scene, especially within Possession, where she released the EP WOMXN. Other releases such as Plus One, Candy22, or the track Silence Is Oppression, issued during the protests in Poland in the early 2020s, marked a bold, physical footprint, defined by the confluence of European and Latin American scenes.
As a DJ as well as a producer, ØTTA has performed in clubs, at festivals, and in internationally released filmed formats. In 2024 she launched Hotties, both a label and a series of events, in line with her work focused on fast, tense, and percussive dance music.
