On March 22, 2027, at the Garage in Saarbrücken, two bands will face off, treating blues rock not as nostalgia but as a living arena. Graveyard, founded in 2006 in Gothenburg, stands for heavy, rough hard rock with a clear blues- and stoner-edge: thick guitars, direct arrangements, and songwriting that rubs up against the seventies without standing still. By Hisingen Blues and Lights Out at the latest, the band sharpened its sound between massive riffs, expressive vocals, and darker melodies. After upheavals and the return to the ring, the handwriting remained organic, earthy, and powerful. Blues Pills have been bringing a different color to the same cosmos since 2011: soul in the voice, psychedelia in the breath, and hard rock at their backbone. With Elin Larsson as frontwoman and a sound that loves contrasts, they fuse dense riffs with melodic lightness. From Blues Pills through Lady in Gold and Holy Moly! to Birthday (2024), the songwriting has grown increasingly focused, while the live energy remains at the core.
