On February 6, 2027, The Fabulous Thunderbirds bring their Texas-bred blues to Assembly Leamington in Royal Leamington Spa. Built around Kim Wilson’s gritty voice and harmonica, the band has spent decades shaping a sound that sits between electric blues, R&B, rock ’n’ roll and soul, always with that tight, swinging groove that made their name on the Austin club circuit.
Expect a set that moves from early cult-favorite material to the leaner, punchier blues-rock of their best-known era, with songs like Tuff Enuff and Wrap It Up as natural highlights. Wilson, the co-founder and last original member, leads the current lineup with the same feel for Chicago-inspired harp lines and Texas shuffle drive, backed by a band designed for sharp riffs, strong rhythms and songs that hit fast and clean.
