Man/Woman/Chainsaw land at Thekla in Bristol on October 2, 2026, bringing the restless live energy that’s been driving their rise on the UK circuit. Built around Billy Ward and Vera Leppänen, the project started in their teens before opening up into a full-on sextet, designed for movement: songs can pivot fast, trading tight rhythmic pressure for bursts of abrasive guitars, then slipping into unexpectedly melodic turns.
Rooted in London but shaped by constant gigging, their sound sits where alternative rock, post-punk, noise and art rock rub up against each other, with fluid structures that refuse neat revivalist templates. Since signing to Fiction Records and releasing “Only Girl,” the band have kept pushing new material in the wild, where shifting songwriting and a collective feel make every set feel like it could take a different route mid-song.
