On September 29, 2026, Mammal Hands bring their hypnotic, borderless sound to The Old Market in Brighton. The Norwich trio have built a signature blend where contemporary jazz meets minimalist repetition, folk-like melody and a quiet electronic pulse, driven by circular piano motifs, lyrical sax lines and rhythms that keep shifting under the surface. Their music moves between composition and improvisation with a real sense of flow: it can feel meditative one minute, then suddenly push forward with a more physical, beat-led momentum.
This show also sits in the wake of Circadia, a new chapter that leans harder into rhythm and transformation, adding drummer Rob Turner (known for his work with GoGo Penguin) to the story. Expect long arcs, detailed textures and that elastic groove Mammal Hands do so well, the kind that pulls you in without forcing the mood, and stays with you after the last cycle fades.
