Richard Bona returns to the stage with the Richard Bona Quintet project, and on October 14, 2026, he will perform in Wrocław, at Zaklętych Rewirach. The Cameroonian bassist and vocalist, a Grammy winner, builds his concert on this rare blend: African roots, jazz freedom, and songful melody, which flow seamlessly into fusion, alternative pop, or Latin-tinged and flamenco inflections. It is a performance in which the bass leads the narrative as strongly as the voice, and the rhythm can shift direction by half a beat without losing the groove.
Live, Bona likes to talk about music in motion — between Cameroon, Europe, the Americas, and Brazil — and precisely this is how the lineup sounds: Richard Bona (bass/vocals), Michael Lecoq (keyboards), Nicolas Viccaro (drums), Ciro Manna (guitar), and Alexandre Herichon (trumpet). In the program you can hear both his jazz experience and fresh explorations at the crossroads of Afro beats and Afro pop, presented without affectation, yet with careful attention to tone and pulse.
