The Mary Wallopers are coming to Krakow with energy that comes from pub gigging and a love of traditional Irish ballads. On February 8, 2027 at Klub Kwadrat you will hear a Dundalk-based band built around brothers Charles and Andrew Hendy and Seán McKenna: lots of shared vocals, simple, direct playing and melodies that invite you to sing along with them. In their folk and traditional versions, guitars, banjo and that distinctive 'tavern' pulse meet, and the lyrics mix folk tales with social chronicle and dry humor.
After online, home recordings made without fuss, tours quickly appeared across Ireland, the UK and Europe, and on stage the lineup grew with further instrumentalists. In their setlist you may hear tracks from the EP A Mouthful of The Mary Wallopers, the debut The Mary Wallopers (2022) and Irish Rock 'n' Roll (2023): reinterpretations of traditional songs interwoven with original numbers, delivered in a form that sounds like a concert squeezed between tables in a crowded bar.
