Warhaus, the project led by Belgian Maarten Devoldere (also of Balthazar), arrives in Madrid to present The Donkey on April 21, 2027 at Sala But. If until now his name had been associated with nocturnal, elegant pop and a deep voice, this new chapter tightens the pace: almost hypnotic lyrics, a more raw performance and a rhythmic backbone that leans toward tribal, with nods to South African gqom and grooves that verge on grime.
Live, Warhaus tends to grow with a full band, moving between tense ballad and alternative song with sober arrangements and a cinematic touch. The promise is clear: a concert to let yourself be carried away by the rhythm and atmosphere, with Devoldere at the helm taking his restrained melodies into a more visceral territory.
