Chris de Burgh brings his solo show “It’s never too late” to Arena Trier in Trier on 14 April 2027. Instead of grand staging, he relies on what has defined him for decades: songs that function like small narratives, carried by a voice that puts every word in the foreground, and accompanied by instruments that leave room.
In the set, the well-known milestones of his pop and soft-rock career meet material from later phases: romantic ballads alongside narrative songs that sit in the tradition of “Spanish Train and Other Stories,” and of course classics such as “Lady in Red,” “Don’t Pay The Ferryman” or “Missing You.” Also fitting is “Legacy” from his “Robin Hood” cosmos, where he shifts the focus from the personal history to broader themes. An evening for anyone who would rather listen than watch.
